Hey guys! It’s Eesha Samantray from the
Samantray Post. Let’s talk about CLOCKWORK PRINCE, because I have a LOT of
thoughts.
By the way, I love this cover. Jem is just ~chefs
kiss~
I’m not going to summarize the book; only highlight
the big moments that I want to talk about.
First, we find out about Will’s (alleged) curse.
Magnus is helping to find the demon who had cursed him for everyone who loves him
will die (yikes, Willie). Now, this is when I actually liked Will’s character.
Jem and Tessa’s kiss…I don’t ship them, but I love
Jem, and I loved we saw him have frustration instead of his usual calm demeanor
(not that I don’t love that).
Guys, in the next post (clockwork princess
review) I want to talk about Jem and Will’s friendship, I really think it’s
unique and beautiful.
Anyway, Jessamine betrays them. How dare you…I
thought you’d be like Zoya; a bish before good. But I know she was fooled by
fricking Nate.]
Cecily and Gideon – I ship them so hard. I love Gideon.
Nate dies in the end, and I don’t fricking care, rot in hell.
Will…finds out his curse wasn’t real. Oh god, imagine
you separate yourself from your family so they don’t die and they think you don’t
care for them and abandoned them, and you find out you did everything to make
people hate you; the people you love, despise you…just a typical day for me,
man.
Jem proposes
to Tessa, and I don’t blame him. He loves her and he knows he doesn’t have much
time to live and wants to live the rest with her. Tessa agrees, but Will, now
knowing he can confess his love to her, does.
Obviously, both of them feel despair. Will,
because he had done so much to be with her but he doesn’t want to hurt Jem, his
best friend, and Tessa, because she doesn’t want to hurt either of them, Jem is
dying and Will has gone through so much (both of them have, and Tessa too). But
keeping it a secret will eventually hurt Jem, as well.
Oh god, this is good stuff. The angst I need,
not siblings, please.
And at the end, let’s end it with a happy note;
Charlotte and Henry work out their problems; realize the other loves them too
and find out Charlotte is with a child!
I just realized that Charlotte and Henry are the definition of the meme
‘Do you like me?’
‘We’ve been married for years-’
And with that note, we end this review. This
book is definitely better than the last one. This is 4.5 stars for me. And now I
realize I haven’t been rating my books. Well you know six of crows and crooked kingdom
is 5 stars. And clockwork angel was a 4.
Well, bye.
See you tomorrow.
