Hi
guys, it’s Eesha Samantray from the Samantray Post and today we’re reviewing
HEARTSTOPPER, a tv adaptation of the graphic novel series.
I
watched the show without reading the books, and then went on webtoon and read
the first two novels, then watched the show again.
It’s
a really well-done adaptation – I actually found out while reading the books,
that most of the scenes were straight out of the books.
All
the changes were very welcome to me – like more drama, which was bound to
happen as it was adapted into a show – including adding some new characters; Imogen,
who I was very surprised by the turn they took with her character and how I loved
her, and of course, one of the best characters; Isaac.
He
was just in the background reading his books, which is most likely to be me, as
much as I’d like to say that I’m like Charlie or Nick.
I’d
just like to say this; Tao might have annoyed me at some times, but I
understood his perspective.
This
show is a perfect adaptation, which is not surprising seeing that Alice Oseman –
the author – was in charge.
Future
adaptations should take note.
Reviews
for the Heartstopper graphic novels will be posted after finish the Maze Runner.
