Hey, ya guys! It’s Eesha Samantray from the Samantray Post. Today we’re talking about the famous classic – pride & prejudice!
Look at that cover! It’s so beautiful! Anyways. I haven’t
watched the movie yet as of writing this. So, this will just be me talking
about the book. Of course, I’ll be telling my thoughts after watching it and
adding it here as a separate section. Let’s start.
Before we move on to my beloved character(s), let’s
talk about the characters that I want to effing murder and then bash my own
skull in as well.
Mrs. Bennet – I know that maybe in those times the mothers
had to find rich husbands for their daughters because…you know what I’m talking
about. But that doesn’t mean this bitch doesn’t effing annoy me.
And by the way, why the heck does she call her husband
‘Mr. Bennet’? Is it a thing in the times? Probably.
I don’t hate her husband, I find him very wholesome.
He became one of my favorites after he agreed with Elizabeth for her to marry Mr.
Collins.
Speaking of that guy, Mr. Collins – I don’t hate the
guy, I guess. He just effing annoys me. Also, it was a little weird for me,
that Lizzy and him are effing cousins. I know, distant cousins (that doesn’t
make it less weird) and maybe in those times it was common.
Also, it’s the same with Mr. Darcy and his cousin whom
his aunt wanted him to marry.
Lydia – this bitch just annoys me.
Wickham – I hate him so much. The first time he
appeared I knew he was lying.
And, now, the character that I find him very wholesome
and don’t hate – Mr. Bingley. Honestly, his sister is the one I effing hate.
She’s the one who didn’t tell that Jane was in London.
And now, my most beloved character – Mr. Darcy. I love
him so much. I’ll be talking about him with the movie.

I love this movie so much. I just…it’s going to be my
comfort movie, I know it.
Let’s talk about this amazing duo. I mean, more like the most awkward duo. I love how Mr. Bingley is so awkward.
Not as much this bitch, though. I love this man so much.
I love this awkward interpretation of him. He isn’t arrogant or prideful, he’s
just an awkward boi who can’t confess his feelings properly and insults Lizzy’s
family in the process.
I mean, there are so much scenes that I laugh out loud
from the awkwardness…and I love it!
I was lowkey crushing on this man throughout the movie. I just…love him so much.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in the book. I
expected the most awesome, legendary book, and I was a bit let down. Don’t get
me wrong, I still love the book; it’s still great…just, I had huge expectations.
Book rating – 4.5 stars, sorry, I just was a bit let down.
Movie rating – 5 stars. Okay, yes, I think the 2009 movie
adaptation is better. Bear with me, I love the Mr. Darcy’s overall character
better there.
Don’t hate me,
Eesha Samantray
